Eligibility and entry
Open exclusively to currently enrolled M.Sc. students and Ph.D. scholars. Applicants from other academic programmes, professionals and members of the general public are not eligible. Proof of current enrolment may be requested during verification. One submission is permitted per verified email address and mobile number.

Photograph requirements
Eligibility is limited to currently enrolled M.Sc. students and Ph.D. scholars. Submit between one and five original, self-photographed images related to weeds or weed management. Each image must be JPG or PNG, no larger than 10 MB, and accompanied by an accurate description and location.
- Minimum recommended resolution: 2000 × 1500 pixels.
- No collages, screenshots, posters or visible watermarks.
- Provide a 100–300 word description for every photograph.
- Every photograph requires an accurate date and map location.
Originality and copyright
You must be the photographer and copyright owner of every submitted image. Copyright remains with you. By entering, you grant the organiser a non-exclusive right to use credited images for evaluation, exhibition, publication and educational or non-commercial promotion.
Judging criteria
Prizes and recognition
Cash prizes: ₹5,000 for first place, ₹3,500 for second place and ₹2,000 for third place. Each winner will also receive an official certificate, a Student Travel Grant for a 3rd AC train ticket, and complimentary registration to attend the 4th International Weed Conference (4th IWC) in Ludhiana from 18 to 21 November 2026. The awards will be presented during the conference.
Entries may be checked for duplicate content, metadata anomalies and copyright concerns. The organiser may request clarification or disqualify entries that breach the rules.
